Fun and Fantasy await at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park June 17th & 18th
Saturday June 17th princesses, pirates and little ones of all ages are invited to join in the fun and fantasy that awaits at the folk park’s now annual Midsummer Festival.
A fun filled afternoon for all, visitors are invited to explore the folk park’s wonderful fairy village where mystical creatures take up residence in a host of novel and quirky fairy houses ranging from miniature wagons and cottages to mini tea pots and castles Explore the fantastic willow tunnel and willow hut in the surroundings of the magical forest trail.
The fairies are, as you know, hardworking and industrious so we’ve arranged lots of fun workshops for children where they can decorate their very own fairy, pirate or castle door to bring home!
In addition visitors on the day can enjoy face-painting, adventure trails and storytelling by the folk park’s resident princess and much more

Meantime on Sunday June 18th roll up, roll up, and join in the amazing atmosphere that awaits at the Carnival at Bunratty Folk Park from 11am to 5pm.
Located on the lawns of idyllic Bunratty House experience a host of traditional carnival games and novelties including Coconut shy, Hoopla, Rifle range, Whack a Rat, Giant buzzer, Test of strength, Smash a can, a range of Giant games and more.
Marvel at a kaleidoscope of colour with raised stalls and stripped awnings. Each booth is manned by a colourful barker just waiting to cheer you on!!
A fantastic way to spend an afternoon with the family, bring back some nostalgic memories and of course create new ones all in this wonderful woodland setting!
